I am not some super GREEN Eco-Friendly fanatic but I am aware of the benefits of living a Green Lifestyle. What I am is money minded, I care about the budget. So after doing lots of research into ways that I can help cut cost in my home as well as seeing the saving from making my detergent I thought, Let's give this a try.
Today I had planned on cleaning my bathroom and saw it as the perfect opportunity to try out some of these DIY Household Cleaners. I am not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical at the effectiveness of these DIY Cleaners before I tried them. But I can say with complete confidence that they worked FANTASTICALLY!!! To prove how good they worked I took photos for all of you skeptics out there. I am also posting directions on how to make/use a Tub/Tile Cleaner for anyone that would like to try it out for themselves.
The Ingredients |
Pour 1/4 cup into a standard bowl |
Swirl Dish Soap Over Baking Soda and begin to wisk. I used a fork b/c it was easier to wisk with and allowed me to break up clumps easier. |
Continue added dish soap a little at a time wisking it each time until it is the consistency of Cake Frosting. This is what mine looked like when I was done. |
This is what my tub looked like before I cleaned it... Nice soap scum build-up. |
I rubbed the mixture on my tub with my hand and let me add that that small bowl was enough to clean my tub and sink with some left over. |
If you look closely you can see the layer of cleaner that I rubbed unto the tubs service. |
